International Student PhD Scholarship
Department of Psychology
University of Otago, New Zealand
The Department of Psychology is offering a PhD scholarship for an
international student, commencing study in 2005.
The award will be NZ$20,000 per year for three years plus fees. An
international student is defined as a student who is not eligible for
a domestic Otago scholarship based on his or her country of
citizenship.
The student must submit an application to the Higher Degrees Coordinator,
Department of Psychology, University of Otago, P O Box 56, Dunedin,
New Zealand or email psyhod@psy.otago.ac.nz by 15 October 2004.
Applications should include:
1. Student's name and country of citizenship
2. Supervisor's name and statement of support
3. Title of project
4. Academic record (from undergraduate and, if any, postgraduate study)
5. Two letters of recommendation
6. Evidence of English language proficiency
7. Statement describing why the student wishes to come to Otago
Award of the scholarship is contingent on acceptance of the student
by the University of Otago International Office.
